CUCM 14 has just been released and it’s ready for download from Cisco’s software central. CUCM 13.X was skipped purely for R&D purposes, similarly to what Cisco does for their IOS versions. Cisco have incorporated their Webex Cloud Connected services into the development of CUCM 14.X to extend new features for remote workers.
In this article, we have briefly summarised some of the most interesting announcements. It’s a good idea to familiarise yourself with what’s coming soon so you can be fully prepared for any of the newly released features.

New features of CUCM 14
There were a number of phone models that were deprecated with CUCM 12. That deprecation status carries over to CUCM 14. Please see the models below.
Final note...
Cisco are doing a great job of incorporating their Webex Cloud services as a natural extension to their on-prem CUCM infrastructure to support all hybrid environments for remote workers.
Please understand CUCM v14 onwards has adopted a whole number release numbering structure. There will be no (dot) releases, like (dot)5 e.g. 11.5 or 12.5 etc. like past version releases. Service Upgrade release will be published on top of the main release through its Software Maintenance cycle.
